Since 2016 Europeans are their first international competition this season, we start our (photo) campaign from Bratislava with the European and World champions en titre, Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron. Their short dance is set to “Charms”, by Abel Korzeniowski – and the program itself, from the opening pose till the end, a joy to the eyes. With 70.74 points, the French lie in second place behind Italy’s Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte. “It’s our first international competition this season, so it is great to come back and, at the same time, we did a really good job. Of course, there is pressure and, of course, there are people expecting things, but we were kind of in our bubble, so we were not thinking about anything too much”, Gabriella said during the press conference after the short dance.
