Close-ups from Finlandia Trophy (I)

We love this photo of Amber Glenn, taken in Helsinki, at 2025 Finlandia Trophy: we believe it embodies Amber’s strength, perseverance, efforts, resilience and, ultimately, her success on the international stage.

In her 11th senior season, and with the biggest share of victories during her 10th one – including the much-coveted Grand Prix Final win –, Amber Glenn is now attempting a three-peat at 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, currently under way in St. Louis, Missouri. But more than that, she really wants to make the team for Milano-Cortina, and her first journey to the Olympics, and she’s in the best shape to do so.

This photo taken in Helsinki, in November? We can also call it: Amber, as we see her, as everyone in the skating world sees her.

And no better picture, moment, emotion to start our photo-journey from Finlandia Trophy, the sixth event of 2025-2026 Grand Prix series – Amber won the women’s short program, this photo captures it brilliantly, and finished the overall event on the second place, behind Japan’s Mone Chiba.

And Mone Chiba had had a golden season coming to Helsinki: gold at Kinoshita Cup, gold in Skate Canada – and she’ll take the gold of Finlandia Trophy too. No wonder given her textbook skating skills.

On third place in Helsinki, another Japanese, Rino Matsuike, skating as if she were floating, as if she were this beautiful, white cloud peacefully travelling on a blue sky. You’ll see the photos, you’ll know what we mean – you already do.

We start from here and show you our best photos from the women’s event at 2025 Finlandia Trophy.

Find here the official results, but you don’t really need them to experience the emotions these photos convey.

… and then come back for the rest: each category will have its separate photo-story. That proud we are of the photos taken in Helsinki, that much we want you to see them all.

Loena Hendrickx tried her best in Helsinki – you know the incredible skater she is – but due to medical reasons, she withdrew after the short program. And we can’t wait to see her at Europeans in just a week.
